Valley Oaks Charter School is located at 3401 Chester Avenue, south of the Kern County Museum and north of Garces Circle. It is centrally located and has regular GET bus service.
Valley Oaks Charter School is fully accredited by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Stars Theater Class – 7th and 8th grade. Friday 9:00 am to noon at Stars Theater School. 10 week class begins January 20th. Ms. Foth will be the instructor.
Guitar – Grades 3-8, Beginning and Intermediate classes taught by Mr. Gamble in Metro classroom, Fridays between 11:30-1:45. Classes last 45 minutes and will depend on group. Semester long. All students must register for January-May semester. Class begins January
Music Club! Children in 1st-3rd grades are invited to come to the Music Metro Classroom for five weeks of music education with Mrs. Robinson. Activities will include singing a variety of new songs, learning about notes and rhythm, musical games, music from other cultures, and playing classroom instruments like xylophones, drums, rhythm instruments, and bells. Thursdays, 10:00 – 11:00 for five weeks. Class begins January 19.
Piano – Beginning piano for grades 3-6, taught by Mrs. Robinson in West 40 classroom, Thursdays, 1:00-2:00. Students must have a keyboard for practice. Ten week class. Class begins January 19.
