Thank you for your interest in Valley Oaks Charter School.

It is time to begin planning for the 2008-09 school year. The following orientation meetings are being held for new students/parents interested in enrollment. Please help us “get the word out” to families that may be interested in our program.

*Current parents of Eighth Graders: A special meeting is scheduled on April 23rd (testing day) for you to gain important information on the transition into high school (either VOCS or traditional). You can bring your student for testing at 8:45 a.m. then come upstairs to the 3rd floor for the meeting at 9:00 a.m.

Additional dates may be added as needed.

If you are a continuing VOCS parent/student, please make sure to fill out the “Intent to Enroll” form, at your next meeting with your resource teacher, to make sure you save a place for next school year!

In order for us to process your application in a timely manner, we are requesting that you bring the following to orientation:

• Photocopy of current immunization records
• Photocopy of birth certificate
• Photocopy of social security card
• If the student is entering kindergarten, a copy of the report of examination for school entry is required
• If the student has received previous Special Education Services, please provide a copy of the latest IEP

A request for enrollment will be conditional upon providing the above information. Please note; a request for enrollment is not a guarantee for enrollment. Enrollment will be based upon space availability.
