COLLEGE INFORMATION:

*"The College Corner":  Each week we have decided to bring the parents and students valuable information about the college experience and admission expectations.  "The College Corner"  will be providing valuable information on a variety of college topics.

This week's topic: "Subject Requirements (A-G)" Part 7 Laboratory Science "D"
Students should select courses that represent two of the three foundational subjects of biology, chemistry, and physics.  For example, a student takes only biology and physiology, or biology and marine biology, would not meet the "d" requirement.  The last two years of a three-year sequence in integrated science, where rigorous coverage of at least two of the foundational subjects is provided, satisfy the requirement.  If the last year of the three-year sequence is not offered by the school, a student may complete the requirement by taking a course in biology, chemistry or physics.

(Note: Next week's topic part 7 Language Other Than English ("E")

*College Savings Plans:  Saving for college can be a daunting task.  If you would like to learn how to save money towards college visit http://www.scholarshare.com.
