Valley Oaks Charter School is located at 3501 Chester Avenue, south of the Kern County Museum and north of Garces Circle. It is centrally located and has regular GET bus service.

Here are the steps to homeschool with Valley Oaks Charter School:
1. Come to a scheduled orientation 3401 Chester Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93301 (Please call to be placed on our orientation list 661-852-6700)
2. An application may be filled out, after the orientation
3. VOCS administration reviews the application
4. A resource teacher is assigned to the family and student
5. A conference is scheduled with the family
If you cannot make a scheduled orientation, please contact Daran Francis at 661-852-6754 and an individual meeting will be scheduled for you.
