EARTH SCIENCE 2008-2009

   This year long course takes a tour from the center of our earth to the stars of the universe through many areas of study. From Geology to Astronomy we will discover the dynamics of our always changing environment. 

The following topics will be covered;

  Unit 1.  Composition of the Earth
  Unit 2.  Surface Processes
  Unit 3.  The Atmosphere & the Oceans
  Unit 4.  The Dynamic Earth
  Unit 5.  Geologic Time
  Unit 6.  Astronomy

Each unit of study will focus on 4-6 chapters of information in the textbook, Earth Science: Geology, the Environment and the Universe, by Glencoe/McGraw-Hill.  We will also have laboratory exercises and demonstrations to augment our learning.
