Valley Oaks Charter School is located at 3401 Chester Avenue, south of the Kern County Museum and north of Garces Circle. It is centrally located and has regular GET bus service.

Valley Oaks Charter School is fully accredited by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

WELCOME TO VALLEY OAKS 2012 - 2013

Amazingly the school year is coming to an end! In just a few short weeks we will all be basking in the summer sun and taking a break from the daily school routine. We know that everyone, especially the parent who is homeschooling, needs a vacation to rejuvenate and wind down in order to get ready to wind up all over again! So take some time for yourself and enjoy!

Should you need assistance during the summer months, VOCS will be open, however, we advise you to call before you come as staff on duty is limited and hours will be sporadic. Your resource teachers will be contacting you towards the end of July to set an appointment in August for signing Master Agreements and other paperwork and to check out your materials for the new school year. Mark your calendars for the first day of school, August 19th, the Parent Educator Conference, August 23rd, and the Welcome Back BBQ, September 5th. In the meantime, spend the summer doing what you enjoy and taking some time for yourself!

ENRICHMENT PROCEDURES - Click

Schedules will be available online or at the front office if you are unable to access the online schedule. Block sign-ups (K-1, 2-3 & 4-6) are set for the school year and it is not necessary to sign-up again.
